Mr. Beard serves as the managing member and CEO of Aegis. He is primarily responsible for strategic planning and providing broad oversight on behalf of the shareholder members. Mr. Beard has over 30 years of audit, management and lending experience. He founded Aegis Business Credit and the Aileron companies (aileroncap. com) to diversify financial product offerings. Since 1998, these companies have financed over $1.5 billion via factoring, asset based lending and mortgage lending. Mr. Beard graduated from Florida State University where he double majored in accounting and finance with a minor in economics. He is a certified public accountant and holds a Series 27 license.

Mr. Skat is responsible for formulating and implementing the overall goals and initiatives at Aegis. Michael provides oversight for credit, policy compliance and back office operations. He also interacts directly with the various capital providers supporting Aegis. Michael has over 25 years of experience in corporate banking, asset based lending, consulting, investment banking and capital restructuring. Mr. Skat graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in economics and holds a MBA from the Crummer School of Business at Rollins College. He is an active member in both the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and the Commercial Finance Association (CFA).

Mr. McArthur is primarily responsible for business development and strategic opportunities. He also serves on the credit committee. James has 28 years of diversified industry experience in finance, lending, turn-around management, capital restructuring and consulting including management and business development positions with leading national and regional commercial/asset based lenders in the Southeast. Mr. McArthur graduated from Wofford College where he double majored in finance and economics. He currently serves as Past President of the Florida Chapter of Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and is an active member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).

Ms. Wilhelm provides direct supervision of the back office operations including the primary day-to-day interactions with our clients to process cash disbursements and collections. Barbara has over 25 years diversified industry experience including 16 years in managerial positions in the finance industry. Ms. Wilhelm is a graduate of Florida State University with a degree in criminology.

Mr. Fussell is responsible for supervising the credit quality of the portfolio and managing new loan originations. He serves on the credit committee and oversees the underwriting of commercial relationships. Michael has over 10 years of experience in commercial and corporate banking including positions in relationship management, underwriting, portfolio management and asset resolution at RBC, PNC and Wells Fargo. Mr. Fussell graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree from the Calloway School of Business and Accountancy.

Ms. Daigle supervises accounting staff, manages accounting and internal financial statements, and also serves as HR manager. She is the CFO of Aegis’ affiliates including EnviroCap and the Aileron companies. Ellen has over 35 years of experience in various accounting and management functions. Mrs. Daigle earned her accounting degree from Louisiana State University and is a former certified public accountant.
